Thank you to our food service director and staff for making this possible! #LCisHOME

Today is School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! We want to thank Officer Musick and Officer Powers for their service, hard work, and dedication to our students and schools! We appreciate all you do!

Today, we celebrate FRYSC Week with Blaine Elementary School's FRYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Tina Bevins! Mrs. Bevins goes above and beyond for our students and their families. She organizes the Readifest backpack program, has developed a Christmas Backpack program, and sends out a monthly newsletter to families, informing them about the opportunities or programs within our community. Blaine Elementary is truly fortunate to have Mrs. Bevins working and continually looking for ways to provide more resources to students!

We are continuing to celebrate FRYSC Week! This week, we spotlight Fallsburg Elementary School's FRYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Brenda Curry. Mrs. Curry always seeks new ways to support students and their families. She is involved in various programs, including Readifest, the Veterans Day program, holiday assistance, food bank, backpack program, parenting classes, art showcase, and many more. Mrs. Curry explained, "Being a FRYSC Coordinator means being the bridge between families and the resources they need to thrive. Every day, I have the opportunity to make a difference, provide hope, and create a lasting impact in my community. I see firsthand how small acts of kindness and support can change lives."

Mrs. Ashley Humphrey, our new FRYSC Coordinator at Louisa Middle School, is doing great! This year, she has shown dedication in promoting the school backpack program. During Red Ribbon Week, a door decoration contest was organized, and guest speaker Forest Quillen was invited to educate students about the harsh realities and dangers of drugs. The Thanksgiving Turkey giveaway and the Angel Tree programs are always a priority for families. This week, as we celebrate kindness, LMS teachers are rewarding students who show compassion with hearts. At the end of the week, these students will be given a prize. Mrs. Humphrey shares, " I am truly passionate about my job! It's a privilege to support our students and their families and to serve our community. I am grateful to be part of the best work family."

Today, we celebrate our LCHS FRYSC team, Mrs. LuAnn Kelly and Mrs. Anne Preece! This dynamic duo does so much for their students and families! Their work with families on student attendance through home visits, sponsorship of drug and alcohol prevention programs, promotion and support of career and job readiness programs, and parenting classes focused on nutrition, meal preparation, and budgeting. The list goes on and on! We thank them for all they do for our students every day!
