Exciting Announcement! Congratulations to Mrs. Angel Derfield on being selected as the new Principal of Louisa East Elementary School! Mrs. Derfield has dedicated 13 years in the classroom, teaching 4th and 5th grades. Last year, she transitioned into administration by serving as the Assistant Principal at Louisa East. In her own words, Mrs. Derfield stated, “I am honored to be chosen as the Principal at Louisa East Elementary School for the upcoming school year. Louisa East is my home and family, and I am grateful to be part of this special team. Mr. Dixon cannot be replaced, but I hope to continue what he has set in motion. Congratulations to LCHS alumni, Lauran Hogston, a 2023 graduate of LCHS and student of Fallsburg Elementary School. Lauran is a 2025 graduate of Mountwest Community & Technical College. She received an Associate of Science degree in Multimedia Design, with high honors. "There are struggles along the way. It isn't always easy, but you can cross the finish line and reach your goals.
