


Our Week at the EAST for September 14-19, 2026

Lawrence County Schools will compete with other school districts across the state, for the opportunity to achieve some of the high attendance numbers! This event highlights the importance of regular school attendance! We can't wait to see you tomorrow! Remember! Attendance Matters!

The LC Schools Extended School Services (ESS) program is a proactive initiative that supports individual students facing challenges in one or more subject areas. For more information, please reach out to your school's coordinator today! We are dedicated to ensuring that all our students have the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential!

Louisa East will be honoring Grandparents' Day! We encourage all grandparents to join us in celebrating this special occasion alongside our students! We will be hosting an ice cream social on Tuesday, September 9th from 4:00 - 5:00 PM! Please come to the Cafeteria Doors. Make plans to come and enjoy this special event!

High Attendance Day across Kentucky is Wednesday, September 9. Last year, our students participated in the Attendance Matters in KY campaign and created this poster and video. Update: The scene has been cleared, and buses are en route and headed home!
LC Schools Bus #201 was involved in a minor fender-bender after picking up students from Louisa West and Louisa East. Thankfully, there were no injuries! The police are on the scene and are currently clearing the accident. Please be aware that students may arrive home a few minutes later than usual due to the event! Thank you! #LCisHome
