Congratulations to LCHS alumni, Shelly Robertson, a 1998 graduate of LCHS. Mrs. Robertson is a 2022 graduate of the University of Arizona GC with a Bachelor of Arts in Childhood Development, with honors. In 2025, she received a Master of Arts in Special Education (MSD) with honors. Mrs. Robertson has been a FMD teacher at Blaine Elementary School since 2023. Congratulations to LCHS alumni, Misty Diamond, a 2003 graduate of LCHS and student of Louisa East and Middle Schools. Misty is a 2025 graduate of the University of the Cumberlands with a Bachelor in Psychology with a minor in Human Services.
Congratulations to LCHS Senior, Drake Steele! We are thrilled to announce that LCHS Senior, Drake Steele, has successfully passed his ASVAB test and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on Tuesday, May 21st, at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Beckley, WV!
Drake shared his journey toward this decision:
“I learned about the USMC from a friend and decided to reach out to the military recruitment branch. I became interested because of the physical and mental challenges faced during boot camp and beyond. I hope to turn this into a career! I am very happy and excited to enter this branch of service!”
We are very proud and excited for Drake and wish him the very best on this exciting journey!

The LCHS tennis team completed the individual and doubles portion of the regional tournament! LCHS will be represented at the state tournament! Joey McClanahan, LCHS tennis head coach, discussed the teams progress. "We finished the 15th Region individual tennis tournament yesterday. We did not have any girls in the singles final four this year, we had one team of doubles in the final four, Reagan Webb and Elizabeth Browning, they lost in the semi-finals to Pikeville. We had a team in the boys’ doubles semi-finals, Aiden Mynhier and Cayden Sweeney. The boys beat Pikeville and then lost to Shelby Valley’s team in the finals. Both our boys singles players, Chase Kendrick and Alex DeSario made it to the finals making an all LC final with Chase Kendrick taking the title. We now turn to the team tournament tonight where the girls team plays Shelby Valley and must win in order to play in the semi finals tomorrow at 10AM at our home courts. The boys earned a bye so they will automatically play Tuesday in the semi-finals vs the winner of Shelby Valley and Martin County. The finals of both boys and girls team tournaments will both be held Tuesday around 1:00PM." We invite the community to come out and support the Bulldogs! Let's go Bulldogs!
