Blaine Elementary School had a visit from representatives of the KY Derby Museum Outreach Program. The program helps to educate K-8 grade students about the facts associated with the KY Derby. BES students loved the visit and learned so much!

The LCHS Senior Culinary Class held its annual Thanksgiving feast under the instruction of Ms. West. The students prepared the menu, place settings, and table decorations. It was a memorable day cooking and enjoying a delicious dinner!

The new LCHS Fire Science class held two monitored burn experiments, allowing students to witness the way fire reacts in certain structures. Students were continually monitoring temperatures and answering questions throughout the burn process.

Louisa Middle School held its Veteran's Day Program, with the Louisa Post 89 and VFW 6103 veterans participating in the ceremony. The program honored the many veterans who have given so much for our freedom.

LCHS Carpentry students worked to complete the new LC Bulldog doghouse that now sits below the scoreboard at Luke Varney, JR Memorial Field. The students took great pride in completing the project! It is exciting to see the doghouse back on the field!

The Fallsburg Elementary School's 5th-grade class visited the Gyandotte Civil War Educational Days in Huntington, WV. The students were taken back to the Civil War era and learned about various military posts.

The Louisa West Elementary School and the Lawrence County Public Library collaborate to provide story time and crafts to students once a month! We appreciate Ms. Tammy and her participation in LC School activities, events, and programs!

BES academic team students attended the Kool Kits 105.7 High Q Competition. The team came away only one question shy of the $500 prize. It was a great effort and a wonderful learning experience for the students!

LCHS 11th and 12th-grade pre-nursing students visited Eastern Kentucky University for an informational campus tour! They became familiar with the campus layout, They met staff members from the College of Health Science to learn more about offered programs!

The LCHS basketball season is just around the corner! The LCHS boys' and girls' basketball team representatives attended the WYMT preseason interview event! They participated in a tour of the WYMT station and gave interviews regarding the upcoming season!
