LC Preschool classes will begin on Wednesday, August 27th, at BES, FES, and LWES! In preparation for this, our community partners, TRMC and Ms. Jill Cantrell, conducted an annual training session on CPR and AED use for our preschool staff across the district!

Good luck to our LCHS boys' and girls' soccer teams as they compete in the Section 8 2A Tournament hosted by Johnson Central. The boys will play against Pike Co. Central tonight at 6 PM, and the girls will play against Letcher Co. Central on Wednesday, Aug 28th, at 6 PM. Let's go support the Bulldogs!

Blaine Elementary School will host Heritage Day, a celebration of Appalachian heritage, to educate our students, on Thursday, September 26th, from 9 AM to 2 PM! If you want to set up an educational station for the day, please call 606-652-3624.


LC educators participated in the Lawrence County Professional Learning Conference 5.0 in preparation for the new school year! The presenters included LC teachers, administrators, and guests from KVEC (KY Valley Educational Co-Op). There were various topics, including STeLLA, Number Sense, All Things Technology, and more! The conference was rated by attendees with high marks!



The LCHS construction class is selling a 10' x 12' shed as a fundraiser for the carpentry class. The proceeds will replenish the class building funds. Don't hesitate to contact Mr. Bradshaw at 606-424-7560 for more information on this quality building!

Congrats to the LCHS golf team! The boys and girls teams were runners-up in the
2A Section 8 Tournament! Reece Hughes was the Individual Boys Champion! Kailey Prince, Abby Runyon, and Reece Hughes all qualified to compete in the Class 2A State Tournament!

The LC Schools Welcome Back Breakfast was a huge success! Thank you to Pathways for sponsoring the event! Student presenters did a marvelous job representing their school! Mrs. Webb, LC Superintendent, presented "Home has Value" to our 374 staff members. @LawrenceCoSch



LC Schools would like to express our gratitude to the faculty and staff for their hard work in preparing our schools for their students' first day back! The hallways, classrooms, and playgrounds were filled with smiling faces. As our students settle in throughout the district, we hope everyone has a successful school year filled with learning and growth!
