We want to provide a brief update concerning an emergency vehicle present on the LCHS campus this afternoon. A staff member experienced a medical emergency, leading to the arrival of an ambulance at Lawrence County High School. We are incredibly grateful for the swift actions of our staff, the medical team, and all those involved in ensuring that the individual received prompt medical care.

LC Schools is thrilled to announce that Blaine Middle School has been selected to receive the STAR Academy Grant from the Kentucky Department of Education! This grant, totaling $1,000,000 over three years, will enhance student access to new programs, provide updated classroom equipment, and support an aligned curriculum. Additionally, it will offer professional development for BMS teachers. LC is one of five districts within Kentucky to receive the grant!
The STAR Academy is a hands-on, accelerated intervention program for 7th and 8th graders designed to increase engagement and academic performance through small-classroom settings.
We appreciate Mr. Jack Mabrey, the District Consultant for the STAR Academy from NOLA, for visiting Blaine Middle School and attending our latest LC Board of Education meeting. And of course, we especially appreciate and thank our grant writers and administrators for their hard work and commitment in securing this valuable grant for BMS! #LCisHome
