Congratulations to LCHS Biomed juniors Zoey McCoy and Ethan Preece for being selected as KYCOM 2026 PEPP Scholars! Entrance into the KY College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Professional Education Preparation Program (PEPP) is a huge achievement. The program only accepts 15–20 students annually. Zoey and Ethan will spend a week immersed in medical lectures, anatomical lab sessions, hospital volunteering, and insights into rural medicine. We are incredibly proud to have them both representing Biomed and LCHS! #LCisHome

LC School District, let's get ready for the Kentucky Summative Assessment, which begins this Thursday, May 14th! Please check your child's school for scheduled testing days and times!
This is a reminder to all students and families that the end-of-the-year testing window will begin on Thursday, May 14th, 2026, and will end on Thursday, June 4th, 2026. The Kentucky Summative Assessment, or KSA, determines how our students have progressed and how well they are prepared to advance to the next grade. Please note that grades 3-8, along with 10th- and 11th-grade students, take the state-required assessment.
KEY REMINDERS!
Please avoid scheduling student appointments during the testing window days.

- Arrive on time each day at school!
- Go to bed early and be well-rested!

LCHS Pre-Nursing Class Achieves 100% Pass Rate on KY CNA Exam!
The LCHS Pre-Nursing class, guided by Mrs. Adams, celebrated a remarkable 100% pass rate on the Kentucky CNA exam yesterday! The newly certified CNA students are: Olivia Boyce, Emily Diamond, Paisley Fyffe, Preslyn Miller, Aden Patton, Lyndsey Ward, Brooke Marcum, Shelbie Preece, KJ Adams, Summer King, Olivia Music, and Cynthia Dooley.
These students are now qualified to work as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in Kentucky.
Congratulations to all these dedicated students for their hard work and achievement!
