LC Schools Bus #201 was involved in a minor fender-bender after picking up students from Louisa West and Louisa East. Thankfully, there were no injuries! The police are on the scene and are currently clearing the accident. Please be aware that students may arrive home a few minutes later than usual due to the event! Thank you! #LCisHome

It's Football Friday! Tonight, the LC Bulldogs will take on the Ashland Tomcats at Putnam Stadium! Let's travel to Ashland to support our boys! If you can't make the trip this evening, you can find game coverage on 99.3 WKYH FM, with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30 PM. Also, My Town TV is the network that will livestream the game. We wish our Bulldogs the best of luck tonight! Let's go, Bulldogs!

Fall is in the air! And Mr. Bradshaw's carpentry class is busy designing, constructing, and painting pumpkins in their workshop! These pumpkins are for sale in the LCHS front office! Mrs. Jennifer and Mrs. Jenny will be glad to help you find the perfect pumpkin! The prices range up to $20 for the larger and 3-D pumpkins. Mr. Bradshaw explained that the lumber for this project comes from the old gymnasium bleachers, which were replaced last year. So, be sure to grab a part of LCHS history and help support the LCHS carpentry class today! #LCisHome

The Lawrence County Board of Education has set the tax rates for SY 2026-2027 on August 27, 2026.
• Real Estate Tax Rate: 61.9 cents per $100 of assessed value
• Personal Property Tax Rate: 62.5 cents per $100 of assessed value
• Motor Vehicle/Watercraft Tax Rate: 35.0 cents per $100 of assessed value
• Utility Tax Rate: 3.0%

Note: This rate represents the state-calculated “compensating rate with exonerations” and is not subject to a public recall vote under KRS 132.017.
