Bus Delay Update!
The train crossings have been reopened! The last of our students at Louisa East have been picked up by their bus drivers, and the buses
will begin their regular afternoon routes. We truly appreciate everyone having patience and understanding throughout today's events!
Dear Parents,
Due to a train stopped on the tracks in Louisa, our bus dismissal time will be impacted.
This occurrence happened before dismissal, and we are working to provide alternative routes.
We'd like to ask for your patience as we deal with this logistics issue. Again, dismissal times will
be impacted and delayed!

Please take a look at the flyers for more information about signing up at each of the schools.

Announcement! Please be aware that the LC School bus #132 was involved in an incident. The bus was pulling onto Bulldog Lane from Louisa Middle School when a car hit the safety arm of the bus. Please note that there was no other damage to the actual bus. All students are safe. However, this incident will cause a delay in students' arrival times at home.

A friendly reminder! Lawrence County Schools will have a three-day week next week! Our schools will be closed on Monday, September 1st, in observance of the Labor Day holiday, and on Friday, September 5th, for a professional development day for our staff. We wish everyone a wonderful and safe extended holiday weekend!

Today marks first day of school for our preschool students throughout the Lawrence County School District! While we are celebrating our preschoolers today, we have some BIG news to share with you!
The Office of Special Education & Early Learning (OSEEL) at the KY Department of Education has recognized our preschool programs at Blaine Elementary, Fallsburg Elementary, and Louisa West Elementary by awarding them with the prestigious designation of Level 5 Kentucky All Star Programs. Achieving a "5 Star Preschool" rating signifies that a facility has reached the pinnacle of excellence in the Kentucky All Stars Rating System, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality. Mrs. Webb, Superintendent of LC Schools, expressed her enthusiasm by stating, "I am thrilled to share the exceptional achievement of our preschool programs at Blaine, Fallsburg, and Louisa West Elementary in earning a '5 Star Rating' from the Kentucky Department of Education. This '5 Star Rating' is impressive and represents the highest honor a program can achieve. This accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication of our preschool teachers and administrators."
