The Louisa West and Louisa East Elementary Schools held their readifest program together at the Lawrence County Community Center on Aug 1, 2023. They also coordinated Meet the Teacher on Aug 3rd for students to tour the schools and meet new teachers.

LWES would like to thank our transportation department for coming down this morning and teaching all our students bus safety. Thank you to James Pauley-Barker Barker, Helen Hughes, and Daniel Berry for talking to our students.
We are very excited to begin our school year tomorrow, August 9, 2023!!! Just a few reminders: Drop-off begins at 7:15, class begins at 7:50, dismissal begins at 2:45. Be sure to communicate how your child will be getting home. Transportation changes require a written note.

We are so excited for the first day of school! Please look at the map for our traffic pattern at LWES for morning drop off and afternoon pickup. Please be aware that you cannot drop students off in the bus lane until 7:40 when the loop gate closes. School takes up at 7:50. If you want you your child to eat breakfast please have them here by 7:30 so they have time to eat before class.

If your child needs vaccinations for the 2023-2024 school year, the Lawrence County Health Department will be providing a Walk-In Vaccine Clinic on Tue, Aug 8, 2023, from 8:00 AM- 4 PM. Remember school begins on Wed, Aug 9th!

We would like to thank the Lawrence County Health Department for the First Aid kits for our teachers.
This Thursday is Meet the Teacher at LWES for Kindergarten and 1st grade. It will start in the cafeteria. Please have online registration completed.

LC Schools held their Principal Retreat at the LC Park Conference Center near Yatesville Lake! The leadership group participated in a book study, reviewed policies and procedures, and discussed other important information.
