Lawrence County Schools will have a traditional snow day today, Tuesday, February 24. Additional snowfall overnight recovered many routes across our county, and temperatures will not allow thawing until up in the afternoon. Stay safe and warm! #LCSIsHome

Lawrence County Schools will be closed today, Monday, February 23, due to snow and low temperatures creating slick conditions on bus routes throughout the county. This will be a traditional snow day. There will be no NTI or remote learning today. Please stay safe and stay warm! #LCisHome

This week we will celebrate National FFA Week. We have some optional dress up days if your child would like to participate.

Our students got a dance party today for having the best attendance in the district.

Attendance Matters! LC Schools is celebrating ALL of our schools across the district for averaging 93% attendance over the past two weeks! We are so proud of all of our students and families for making attendance a top priority! Let's keep this momentum rolling!

Happy 100th day of school. We have some 100 year olds at school today.

Today we celebrate School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! Here at LC Schools we have the best! We thank Officer Powers and Officer Musick for their commitment and dedication to our students, teachers, and staff! They not only keep our schools safe, but build positive relationships with students by offering programs such as Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) for our elementary grades. Let's thank them for going above and beyond to support our school community at LC Schools! #LCisHome

This Week at LWES is Random Acts of Kindness Week.

Here is some information for some upcoming days at the West.

It’s time to trade the snow boots for school books! Lawrence County Schools will operate on a one hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, February 11. We realize that some areas still remain impacted by ice. If your student’s bus route is affected, your driver has already attempted—or will attempt—to contact you directly to discuss alternate routes or pickup locations. You can also contact them if you have questions. We have truly missed our kids and are so excited to welcome them back! #LCisHome
