fall

After a wild limited 2020 Fall season, Lawrence County High School kicked off 2021 by dominating the field, court, and course.  Boy's Soccer made history winning the 15th Region Championship and golf made waves in the 2A tournament.  Football had one of their best starts of all time.  Volleyball picked up big wins against rival Martin County and won their JV Summer Slam tournament.  Young Cross Country members out-paced competition in their meets.  Lawrence County was home to some of the best athletes and teams in Eastern Kentucky this fall.

Boy’s Soccer

Lawrence County High School Boy's Soccer finished the season becoming the first in school history to make it to the state soccer tournament.  They finished with a record of 15-3-2 including 58th District and 15th Region Championships.  The 2021 season marks the 4th year of the soccer program as well as the 4th year the program has been named district champions. Seniors Luke Johnson, Trenton Adkins, Joey Moore, Rayson Adkins, William Copley, Zach Holt, William Dillow, and Brian Nelson were impact players leading their team to success this season.

Girl’s Soccer

Heath Webb coached Lawrence County High School Girl's Soccer team to a 13-7 record along with a 2A and 58th District Championship, which marks their 11th consecutive district championship in the program's 13 year history.  Seniors Alyssa Moore, Shelby Borders, and Jasmine Justice showed outstanding athletic ability and sportsmanship throughout the season. 

Football

The 2021 Lawrence County Football Team won their 1st round playoff game and finished with an 8-4 record on the year.  They found great success throughout the season, including a monumental 39-28 win over Russell High School.  Seniors Tyler Bowens,  Nick Collinsworth,  Blue Fletcher,  Levi Gauze,  Austin Hall,  Douglas Hall, and Alex Strickland were instrumental in the team's success. 

Golf

Girl's Golf completed the season with an impressive  7-2 record.  Junior Kassidy Burke finished 4th in the 2A Sectional Tournament. On the boy's side, Lawrence County's John David Montgomery won the 2A Sectional Title.

Cross-Country

Angel Perry and Aiden Mynhier completed the Paintsville Invitational finishing in the top spot.  Aiden Mynhier found great success during the KHSAA Region 7 Class 2AA meet with an impressive 3rd place finish.

Volleyball

Big wins against Martin County and Prestonsburg round out the fall wrap-up.  Young players found success on the court winning the first JV Summer Slam Tournament held at Lawrence County High School.  Seniors Holly Jordan, Whitney Moore, and Kyleah Ward have been instrumental in leading the volleyball program into a positive direction.
