Fourth grade students at Blaine Elementary are working through the Recorder Karate curriculum in music class! These students are able to use Recorder Karate to learn how to play their first woodwind instrument by working through the belt levels with teacher support at their own pace.
After just two months of work, several students have passed three belt levels and are working on the fourth! Paityn Creech, Brooklyn Sparks, Jorrell Fountain, Kelsey Fyffe, Logan Cox, and Landon Hicks are among the students working on the fourth karate belt, “It’s Raining”. Brooklyn Sparks says of Recorder Karate, “It’s fun to do and I feel excited when I pass a belt.”
