Art
This year in art we are going to work on many different art activities and projects.
Clay, plaster of paris and other materials have been ordered and should hopefully be here ready to use before the end of August so we can create 3-D art!!
We are also going to focus on the use of the pencil and colored pencils as tools for creating works of art, with the emphasis being placed on texture and shading.
Music
With music, we will develop music reading skills to progress beyond basic symbol and notation identification and become better musicians through playing instruments such as the recorder, band instruments, Appalachian Folk Instruments (Banjo, guitar and dulcimer) and ethnic folk instruments as they become available.
Also, grades K-3 can expect to prepare for our annual Christmas Holiday program that is becoming more successful each season!
