Extracurricular Programs

 

 

POLICY STATEMENT

By August 1st of each year, the principal shall prepare a list of extracurricular programs to be implemented in the school for the school council’s approval. Additional extracurricular programs to be implemented shall be presented by the principal to the council for approval prior to their implementation.  The chief extracurricular sponsor shall determine student participation standards, to be consistent with any criteria set by the local, state or national sponsor of the program and consistent with state and federal statutes and regulations. This school council policy shall also be consistent with the School Safety Plan and applicable indicators from the Standards and Indicators for Schools Improvement.
